My toddler won't eat white meat - he loves dark, so we'll chunk that for him so it's easy to pick up. He'll also have his beloved peas and some stuffing.
Usually, I'd mash the turnip, carrot and potato, but I know my little guy won't touch it unless he can feed himself. Not sure how to prepare them though? Obviously I can just slice the carrots, but what about the rest?
Mia LOVES turnip souffle. Similar to whipped potatoes, but add turnip and a touch of brown sugar. You could roast little bite size potatoes to make it finger food friendly. When My daughter was younger she had to have her mashed potatoes in a bowl to help maneuver them onto her spoon, but she made it work because she loves her potatoes.
We're having ham this year, Mia's favourite.
We are doing a turkey with stuffing (sadly he won't eat the stuffing nor the mashed potatoes since he hates both)
I'll do squash and he'll try turnip (might do the turnip casserole to make it easier on me)
I'll probably have corn as well since it's a veg I know 100% he'll eat plus I need a veg his cousin will eat and since that's the only one he will eat (he's worse than a toddler) I do corn!
