Just wondering if you have any suggestions for some good parenting books. I was given a few that are a chore to read - seems to be lecturing the parents more than offering helpful tips!

I ordered a tn of books from amazon a few weeks back. I listed them here: http://www.askanece.com/general-articles/ive-become-bookworm
I love them all, but toddler 411 is really great. Because it's sort of a question and answer book, I can pick it up and find what I am looking for a lot easier. I also ordered a book from Mia's scholastic order called I break for meltdowns. It's really cute and is mostly behaviour advice, but it's really straightforward and to the point.
I agree a lot of the books I've read seem to treat parents like they know nothing and need to be told what to do. Not the type of advice I am looking for when I am obviously concerned enough to be looking for advice in the first place!
